Noura rêve

Interview

In her new feature film Noura Rêve, Hinde Boujemaa deals with a woman caught between a husband who takes round trips to prison and an impatient lover who wishes she left her spouse faster. All this in the contexte of Tunisia, where adultery is penalized with 5 years of prison. Between the violence of her husband, the pressure of her lover and her duty as a mother, there seems to be no way out for Noura. We met Hinde Boujemaa, who talks about these inequalities women face and the significance of their gaze in cinema.
