Bertrand Mandico (Les Garçons Sauvages) produces his first video clip for Kompromat, the Vitalic’s new project.

An experimental filmmaker noticed thanks to his film Les Garçons SauvagesBertrand Mandico tries for the very first time at the video clip with the “Niemand” song of Kompromat. We found in it his universe, between erotic impetus, violence, and fantastic metamorphosis. Here, he applies codes of a cinema that he envisages as a dream. Even Ultra Rêve, title of the continuation of feature of short films realized with Caroline Poggi, Jonathan Vinel and Yann Gonzales (Un couteau dans le cœur), is a kind of manifest of a baroque and mannerist current of young French Cinema.

For 6 minutes 31 of his dear pellicle, he takes us on a retro world, at the edge of imagination and nightmare, where blue and rose dominate. The mix between languages destabilize, but Isadora, character played by Jenna Thiam (Les Revenants), bewitches the screen to the rhythm of the Kompromat, band formed by the Frenches Vitalic and Rebeka Warrior.  

Back from Berlin, they described themselves as “punk, rock, black and sweat”, and claim to give “the urge to raise your arms to heaven and dance while crying”, Bertrand Mandico knew how to take up the challenge of transcribe their double musical personality on this clip. But it will be necessary to show a bit of patience before discover the rest of this universe : the album is planned for next spring.
