La Dernière Vague

Interview

Between climate change and fantastic, La Derrière Vague (first episode available here) is a blot into public television. In a small seaside resort in the Landes, a strange cloud appears, taking with it e group of surfers. They will come back with powers and visions. Exciting pitch renewing countryside fiction shows to which France television sticks to, by focusing on a peculiar community, living depending on tides, competitions and the dyke’s decline. Sadly, direction based on shot reverse shot and the special effects are not up to the show’s ambition.
